What permissions should I use?
All scripts, as well as the directories that contain them, must be set CHMOD 755 (rwxr-xr-x). Important Note: A lot of scripts may instruct you to set your script's mode to 775 (rwxrwxr-x) or even 777 (rwxrwxrwx). We strongly, strongly advise that you don't do this. These permissions could permit anyone on the server to write to your script, leaving you vulnerable to hackers who could deface your site, delete it, or worse!
